-Handwashing: This skill is not prompted. You will not be told to wash hands. CNAs are expected to know to wash their hands before and after physical contact with a patient/resident.

-Indirect Care

-Ambulate (using a gait belt)

-Bedpan

-Change of position (side lying position)

-Dress a resident who has a weak arm

-Urinary drainage recording

-Feed a resident who is sitting in a chair

-Radial pulse (measure & record)

-Respirations (measure & record)

-Catheter Care (Female resident)

-Foot Care

-Mouth care to a resident who has a denture

-Mouth care to a resident who has teeth

-Perineal Care to a female resident who is incontinent of urine

-Hand & Nail care

-Partial bed bath and back rub

-Range of motion exercises to one elbow and wrist

-Range of motion exercises to one shoulder

-Range of motion exercises to one hip, knee, and ankle

-Transfer resident from the bed into a wheelchair using a pivot technique and a transfer/gait belt

-Change bed linen while resident remains in bed
