Thinking about a nursing career after high school in Florida?

In Florida, you can become a nurse with an associate degree, which takes two years to complete. However, employers are increasingly favoring candidates with a bachelor’s degrees.

Nursing is a very diverse field. You can become a certified nursing assistant (CNA), a license practical nurse (LPN), or a Registered Nurse (RN); it all depends on your goals.

Once you decide what kind of nursing path you want to follow, you will need to choose a nursing program.

Regardless of the degree you want to earn, make sure the program you choose meets all the requirements for the particular program you want and it’s a reputable organization.

If you are not sure what nursing path to choose, you might consider becoming a CNA to get started. Becoming a CNA in Florida is a very simple process since you are allowed to challenge the state exam.  You may take a short course that is hands-on training and a few days you get the training necessary to learn the skills you need to know for the Florida CNA state exam.

CNA Kwik Track in the great Orlando area has been serving Florida with the CNA state exam preparation course since 2009.
